breakthrough

Mentor had a breakthrough. we've been at my cabin in Valdres discussing the design for several nights. we begin the hardware development tomorrow morning. Mentor says he'll need to order some custom parts from Taiwanese fabricators for the final version, but soon enough we will be able to see what's inside my dreams and will begin nightly testing. in parallel i'll be working on the compression software to make sense of the raw data. there is somewhat exponential complexity due to synesthetic bleed across the visual, auditory, cutaneous, olfactory, and gustatory senses in the dreamscape, so i'm not sure it's even theoretically possible to totally control what it makes. for now we're calling it the Dream Machine.
