another breakthrough, this time on accident. it's beautiful how we receive these serendipitous gifts at times, almost as a reminder that someone is watching over me, guiding me, or channeling through me. i sometimes imagine all of my ancestors, my grandparents' grandparents' grandparents and so on, all together, watching from above as i traverse the labyrinth of life, periodically whispering gifts to me in my dreams...
working on the Qualia Compression™ system there was always a lot of extra data i had to parse through to find coherent music to interpret. in my notes i've called it the "white noise" from the Dream Machine™ which was simply deleted in order to simplify the data set. but this time i inadvertently dropped the white noise into a little pattern-finding script i wrote instead of deleting it. simply a typo; the wrong keyboard command. but my little script found something.
at first i thought is was more music: a missing bassline, a forgotten melody, some ambient noise or scrambled words. but then i realized it wasn't a sound wave, it was visual data. i haven't slept since this discovery and have worked tirelessly to make sense of it and build a working software interpreter. these visual artifacts found in the white noise are called Thought Visualizations™ (which conveniently shortens to the acronym TV).
with the TV system i have been able to parse the "white noise" and generate meaningful visual outputs, and astoundingly but perhaps logically, it is synchronized to the musical outputs! it turns out the Dream Machine™ is capable of much more than just music! as a researcher i need to erase any preconceived notions of what the Machine is creating. who knows what other delightful artifacts could be found in the data? after all, in theory it is capturing the full richness of a multi-sensory dream experience.
i have also been working on my skill as an astral traveler. it is quite clear there is a correlation between dream travel and the quantity and quality of the data the Machine interprets. writing down my dreams has aided me significantly. and there are a few other tricks i've developed...
